The Services Bureau is responsible for delivering the services necessary to support the operations and mission of the Police Department.
The Bureau brings together a variety of disciplines that provides the functionality necessary to maintain the operations of the Police Department. The functions of emergency communications, police record keeping, public information, education and training, equipment procurements, and special employment are under the direction of this Bureau.
The Services Bureau is an essential operation that functions with the expertise of many experienced professionals. Units under the Services Bureau leverage the use of technology to provide superior service. For example, the Communications Center uses computer technology to provide advanced cross-referencing capabilities, and use simulator equipment to train and in-service personnel.
The Services Bureau commander reports to the Chief of Police.
