| The juvenile detectives are members of the Juvenile and Community Services Unit (J&CSU), assigned to the Criminal Investigative Division. Juvenile detectives respond to and handle several types of investigations. The following are some of the ways we serve the community: 1) Police investigations including but not limited to the following: a) Criminal activity – Aggravated Assaults, Simple Assaults, Aggravated Arson, Terroristic Threats, Controlled Dangerous Substances Offenses, Robberies, Thefts, Sex Offenses, Harassment, Child Abuse and several other offenses. b) Handling of status offenses – Curfew Violators, Underage Alcohol Consumption and Possession, Runaways, and Family Crisis Issues. c) Missing Person Reports and investigations. Including the utilization of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children by using the LOCATER System. 2) Serving as a Police Liaison to several agencies. a) Superior Court of New Jersey - Division of Family. c) All Egg Harbor Township Schools d) The State of New Jersey Juvenile Officers Association |
